I have to wait until I see "The Wrestler" to cast my 100% correct predictions. Also, I haven't seen "Doubt" or "The Reader" because there are 0 legitimate copies of it online.
I have not seen enough of them to judge. Once they give the nominees we should take bets on the winners, though.
I've seen: Slumdog Millionaire, Milk, The Wrestler, Wall-E, Burn After Reading, The Dark Knight
I've not seen: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, Revolutionary Road, In Bruges, Rachel Getting Married, Doubt
I bet that each of those movies will make it into the nominees for the major ones though. (Except possibly In Bruges and Burn After Reading)
From what I've seen, Slumdog and Milk will be on the Best Picture list. Best director might go to Nolan for TDK or Boyle for Slummy.
Wall-E is clearly going to win animated, and Heath Ledger with best supporting actor. Best Actor will be between Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke, but I'm guessing Penn.
I've got some work to do. Pretty much all of them were released within the last two months. Netflix anyone?

Oh yeah, and Synecdoche, New York will be on there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI LOL'ed at the poster. Apparently supposed lesbians love Vampire Weekend. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteWhat really got me is the really clear shot of it, and the fact that there were no other noticeable posters up.
ReplyDelete"I think... she might be a lesbian."
Good job, Mickey.
