I am heartily awaiting for new Fox Prospect material. I listened to your shit again today, and thought it was super fun. This year's Pitchfork top ten best albums are going to be from:
1. Animal Collective 2. Bomb the Music Industry! 3 - 7. Other indie shit. 8. Fox Prospect 9 - 10. Some more indie shit.
Speaking of music, Mike, you should try out Gaslight Anthem's "The '59 Sound." More Springsteen influenced punk-rock, but less annoyingly sing-speaky like The Hold Steady. Granted, it doesn't have the keyboards and horns that The Hold Steady has, but they have the same kind of storytelling feel.
I listened to some Animal Collective, and they were not very good. I haven't listened to Gaslight Anthem or the Hold Steady yet though. Also, you're Chinese or something, right? So, Happy Year of the Ox. LOL.
I will tell Nick on your behalf. Also, the Hold Steady is annoying sounding; the pianist has a hipstery-gay porn mustache. Gaslight Anthem is okay; they don't remind me of Springsteen as much as an upbeat-sounding Ben Folds Five minus piano.
